Edwin Romond Wins Laura Boss Narrative Poetry Award

Edwin Romond’s manuscript, Man at the Railing, has won the 2022 Laura Boss Narrative Poetry Award. This 73 poem collection will be published by New York Quarterly Books in April and Romond will also receive a cash prize of $5,000. In addition, there will be a reading by Romond and the five other finalists at the Poetry Center in Paterson, NJ, April 29th at 1 pm to mark the release of the book.

Warren Hills Regional High School, Washington, NJ, has established the Edwin Romond Creative Writing Award. This award will be given each year to the student who has exhibited exceptional talent in the area of creative writing. Romond was an English teacher at Warren Hills from 1981 to his retirement in 2003.
