Edwin Romond Wins Laura Boss Narrative Poetry Award
Edwin Romond’s manuscript, Man at the Railing, has won the 2022 Laura Boss Narrative Poetry Award. This 73 poem collection will be published by New York Quarterly Books in April and Romond will also receive a cash prize of $5,000. In addition, there will be a reading by Romond and the five other finalists at the Poetry Center in Paterson, NJ, April 29th to mark the release of the book.
Warren Hills Regional High School, Washington, NJ, has established the Edwin Romond Creative Writing Award. This award will be given each year to the student who has exhibited exceptional talent in the area of creative writing. Romond was an English teacher at Warren Hills from 1981 to his retirement in 2003.
Edwin Romond’s poem, “Fishing in a Canadian Sunrise” which was published in EXIT 13 and also appeared on YourDailyPoem, has been nominated for a 2022 Pushcart Prize.
Grayson Books has published Edwin Romond’s new chapbook, Home Team: Poems about Baseball, which is now available on Amazon.com or through the publisher.
Edwin Romond’s poem, “Everything about Egypt” has been selected for the new anthology, Poems to Lift You Up and Make You Smile, which is published by Parson’s Porch and is available on Amazon.com. Poetry in this collection is a “Best of” the poems that previously appeared on the YourDailyPoem website.
